I haven't read the book but I liked the interview and discussion about the writing side of addressing climate change. Worth the read for authors here.

Interesting that he settled on a form for the story not so different from Dale Pendell's Great Bay in how it manages scales of time. That's a worthy read, too.

I'll keep an eye out for this one - still looking for used copies of The Mandibles in the local thrift stores, but no luck. That and Clade strike me as more along the literary end of the genre spectrum, though I think that's a fake distinction in a lot of ways - I'm not into the dismissiveness/elitism of lit fic, amonth other things, but I DO like it when writers pay attention to language usage. Anyway, I digress...

Has anyone here read Amitav Ghosh's "The Great Derangement"? That whole genre thing is a streaker he forgets to notice, but he does make other good points about how fiction has neglected the subject of climate change. This interview pointed out some of the complexities of the topic that have contributed to that
